Ty Graynor

BFA Dance Performance, 2018

Ty Graynor is originally from Huntington, NY, where he began his journey with dance.  While receiving his BFA from Hartt, he began to refine his movement language through exposure of classic and contemporary artists such as Doris Humphrey, Martha Graham, José Limón, and Doug Varone. Currently, he is a member of the José Limón Dance Company and was formerly a member of Graham II at the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance.

My time at The Hartt School was truly an awakening. My professors set me on a lifelong path of discovery, giving me the tools to express myself in a refined and articulated way. When I look back at my studies, I see a community that grew together. The Hartt School gave me the possibility to become more than I ever imagined.
